How Does Cardano Benefit?
At the moment, Cardano is not well connected to the rest of the crypto ecosystem in terms of both community crossover and protocol interoperability. Interoperability is difficult to achieve without people on both chains working on it, so a big part of embedding Cardano in the multichain future is establishing good relations with the builders and communities of other chains.
Unfortunately, Cardano's community has developed something of a reputation for tribalism and antagonized the communities of many other chains. This results in builders from these communities often excluding Cardano from their interoperability roadmaps. Healing old wounds and rebuilding damaged bridges (figuratively) will open many doors to Cardano.

One of IOG's primary goals in 2025 is to enable wallets from the Bitcoin network to trustlessly access Cardano and it's smart contracts. We want to make sure the BTC knows and is excited about this.

Cosmos is another modular blockchain whose projects are extremely well connected to other chains. Connecting with Cosmos is a great starting point for widespread interoperability.
