1) Ensure that all false or misleading claims made about Cardano by influencers or crypto media are addressed promptly and civilly with good information and proper context.
2) Discourage other members of the community from engaging aggressively or unproductively with instances of misinformation. Help smother the Cardano Community's reputation for a toxicity.

In our world it's often difficult for people, especially those unfamiliar with a topic, to discern between truth and falsehood, especially if the claims presented to them are partially true. As a result, most people won't question the claims they're exposed to. Fortunately, if a responsible party notices the misinformation and promptly provides the needed context or correct information, these damaging effects can be mitigated.
Having a group dedicated to promptly and effectively addressing misinformation around Cardano will help ensure our ecosystem is fairly represented in online conversations and protect Cardano's reputation.
